A visit to the library

I've been talking a lot about books, reading, book stores, libraries, etc., and since I had to stop at the library last night to pick up my reserved copy of "Guernsey", I thought I would take a few photos.  This may or may not be interesting to you but the following are pictures from my local library.

Also, please take a look at yesterday's book club post if you haven't done so already.  I'm in the process of creating an online book club and your feedback would be helpful!

Beautiful! Nothing like that here in Idaho at our libraries.

mum--
That's a really nice compliment, thanks :) I like it as much as any fancy bookstore.

Maybe I've taken it for granted then :-/

To everyone--
I'd like to see all readers do this project and email me their photos so I can post them. If you're interested, comment and I will provide you my regular email address.

Omg. My library is tiny and scrappy. You have 3 floors! And sculptures! Holy moly! Am very impressed. Very. And do you mean email pictures of our libraries??

Wow, your library is gorgeous! Our local library looks NOTHING like that from what I remember. I haven't been there in years!

Ally--
Yes, or just let me know if you want to share some. I'd be happy to post!

Also, are the photos showing up sideways? I'm just checking this from my phone and they appeared sideways even though they appeared correctly when I wrote the post.

Wow. That's a huge library. The one I go to is probably 1/8 of yours. hehe Thanks for sharing the pics.

I'm with Mum. I could easily live in your library!!! Our local library is very small, but I enjoy going there anyway. There is just something special about being surrounded by all those books.

ah..it is beautiful. Mine is tiny and ugly. I miss the big beautiful one I went to in Tulsa,Oklahoma. The only good thing about my rinky dink one is it does the calculations for me on my online account that tells me how much I save borrowing versus buying. LOVE IT!!

Carmelita--
The savings calculation is something I actually do on my own so I love that your library offers that as a feature!

Beautiful library! It seems so old and vintage with a modern twist!

I have been MIA! I have been out of commission with the baby birth, and I missed the post that you renamed your blog... so, I've been wondering where you were... and here you are! ha!

Good to see ya again!
